The Nashville Predators are putting Dolly Parton on their sweaters.

The team announced Tuesday that its Hometown Remix jerseys will carry a commemorative Dolly Parton patch during warmups Saturday against the St. Louis Blues. The patch is a gold butterfly inside a navy border, and each jersey will have “Dolly” on the back above the player’s number.

Predators CEO Sean Henry talked about what the tribute means to the organization in the team’s release.

“It is an incredible honor for us to celebrate Dolly Parton this Saturday with a specialty patch on our Hometown Remix jerseys,” Henry said. “When working on the design for our jerseys, Dolly was one of our inspirations, given her legacy and how she was a trailblazer for so many in the country music industry.”

Players will sign the jerseys after the game, and the Predators Foundation will auction them off through the rest of the Hometown Remix games. Proceeds go to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Fans can chip in too. A $9.25 donation gets a patch or pin with the logo at the Predators Foundation table near sections 106 and 107 or at the Nashville Locker Room during home games, while supplies last.

Juuse Saros is getting in on the tribute as well. The Predators goalie revealed a new Hometown Remix mask with a Dolly portrait painted on the side, and the team shared photos of it Wednesday.

Parton died Aug. 25 at age 80. Nashville plans to wear the Hometown Remix jerseys 10 times this season, and Saturday is the first one. We covered the full look when the NHL unveiled all 32 Hometown Remix jerseys, and the navy Predators version first showed up at practice in October.

Saturday’s warmups will have a lot of gold butterflies on the ice.
