The Nashville Predators may have just given away a first look at their Hometown Remix jersey.

Players hit the ice Monday at Centennial Ice Rink in navy helmets and dark navy pants with gold trim, The Tennessean’s Alex Daugherty reported. A Predators representative told him it’s likely a preview of the alternate sweater, which gets revealed in November.

Here’s Daugherty’s video of the new gear:

The three stars running down the pants look like a nod to the tri-star on the Tennessee state flag. Nashville usually wears gold helmets at home and white on the road, and the team last wore navy helmets in a regular-season game back in 2015-16.

Head coach Andrew Brunette was asked about the look after practice.

“It was a little bizarre looking out there. I was like, ‘What? Am I in the wrong practice rink here today?’ No, they look cool. I hope the fans will like them.”

Catch Daugherty’s follow-up on what the team told him:

Nashville already announced it will wear the Hometown Remix sweater 10 times this season, starting Nov. 7 against St. Louis. One of those games will honor Dolly Parton with a special patch, and the jerseys will be auctioned off for a children’s hospital.

The NHL and Fanatics announced the Hometown Remix program for all 32 teams in August, and the league still hasn’t set a date for the full unveiling. Teams have been dropping their own schedules, though, which gives us a rough timeline. SportsLogos.Net points out that Florida’s Nov. 2 home game against Detroit is the earliest on-ice date so far, so the reveal has to land by then.

Here are the debut dates teams have announced:

  • Nov. 2: Panthers vs. Red Wings (10 games)
  • Nov. 4: Sabres vs. Senators (eight games)
  • Nov. 5: Islanders (11 games)
  • Nov. 6: Flames vs. Ducks (nine games)
  • Nov. 7: Predators vs. Blues (10 games) and Maple Leafs (nine games)
  • Nov. 17: Blues (10 games)

Nobody has shown the full jersey yet, so Nashville’s practice gear is the closest look any fan has gotten.
