- He named Dylan Larkin as a possible Vegas target on the final 32 Thoughts pod

The Vegas Golden Knights aren’t done shaking things up.
Elliotte Friedman used part of the final 32 Thoughts podcast of the season to warn that Vegas has another move in it, and he pointed straight at Dylan Larkin as a target.
Friedman was running through which teams could still make noise before camps open. He put the Golden Knights near the top of that list.
“This is not going to be a quiet summer. There’s going to be tremors, and maybe even earthquakes, all the way through,” Friedman said. “And this is one team that I don’t think we’ve heard the last of. At least I think they’ll try.”

Friedman didn’t lock Vegas into one name, but Larkin was the first player he mentioned when he got specific.
“I still think, Kyle, that they will be trying to do something,” Friedman said. “Whether it’s Larkin or it’s something else, I don’t think we, it’s just not their DNA.”
The Larkin talk didn’t start with Vegas. The Red Wings captain asked Detroit for a trade back on June 4, per Friedman.
His list of preferred destinations came down to three teams: Vegas, Minnesota, and Florida. So Friedman connecting the Golden Knights to him lines up with what Larkin already wants.
Minnesota has been the loudest suitor so far. The Wild even checked in on Jack Hughes before circling back to Larkin.
Vegas hasn’t been sitting still either. The Golden Knights landed Mitch Marner at the draft and handed Rasmus Andersson a seven-year contract to reload after losing the Stanley Cup Final to Carolina in six games.
Adding a captain and top-line center like Larkin on top of that would be the earthquake Friedman is talking about.
Detroit doesn’t have to move him. But with Larkin picking Vegas as a preferred landing spot and Friedman pointing the same way, the two sides keep lining up.
