The Michigan Move is back in EA Sports’ NHL 22, the latest installment of the hockey video game franchise.

NHL 22 is set be released on Xbox and Playstation worldwide on Friday, October 15th 2021. Fans who preordered the “x-factor edition” were able to play the game three days early on October 12th.

NHL EA Sports expert “the Nasher” (Andrew Telfer) has released a great video tutorial about how to pull off the patented lacrosse move in NHL 22. It’s very hard to pull off in the videogame as only two NHL players have scored with the move in real life.

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to do the Michigan Move in NHL 22, according to Nasher.

Michigan Move Left-Handed Player

The Michigan Move is all done with the right stick and doesn’t involve the left stick. Nasher recommends going into NHL 22 practise mode and practicing the move with an NHL superstar.

Step 1: Move your right analog stick to 9:00, click in on the right stick and hit LB

Step 2: Swipe the right analog stick from 9:00 over to 3:00 to lift the puck in the air and into the net.

Here’s how the move looks in video form:

Success with this move is all dependent on the timing when you move the stick from 9:00 to 3:00. If you go too fast, the puck will fall off your blade. If you go too slow, the puck will just sit in place. Nasher claims executing this move comes down to the millisecond.
