All 32 NHL teams are getting a new sweater this season.

The league and Fanatics announced Hometown Remix on Wednesday, a special edition uniform, apparel and headwear program covering every club in 2026-27. It is the first 32-team program Fanatics has designed since taking over as the NHL’s authentic on-ice outfitter in 2024.

Every design is supposed to “uniquely and authentically celebrate the fans, city, and local culture of each team,” per the league. That puts it in the same family as the NBA’s City Edition uniforms and MLB’s City Connect line.

Nobody gets to see them yet. The announcement says details on the program will follow shortly after the season begins, and opening night is Sept. 29.

The release image gives away the tone before a single jersey does. It is all black and neon green, with a spray-paint REMIX wordmark and an arrow curling out of the last letter. The fine print says the collection spans on-ice uniforms, authentic and replica jerseys, and a broad apparel and headwear run for every team.

Leaks have been running ahead of the league since the spring. eBay listings flagged by Icethetics in May pointed to a pink Florida Panthers sweater, which would be the first pink jersey in NHL history, plus an Islanders look that goes back to the Fisherman era, according to Daily Faceoff.

The last time every club got a themed jersey at once, Adidas was running the show. Reverse Retro landed in 2020-21 and came back for 2022-23 before the on-ice contract moved to Fanatics.

Fans have already had a hand in one alternate this summer. The Islanders put their 2027-28 third jersey to a public vote, and Mathew Barzal revealed the final two designs earlier this week.

Opening night is a Sept. 29 tripleheader on ESPN that starts with the Hurricanes raising their banner against the Panthers. The Hometown Remix reveal comes after that, not before it.
