Matvei Michkov has scored in three straight games.

The Flyers winger put Philadelphia up 1-0 on the Avalanche Monday night with a power-play snap shot at 7:41 of the first period. Denver Barkey and Trevor Zegras picked up the assists on his fifth goal of the season.

Colorado challenged the play for goaltender interference, and the call on the ice stood after review. Check out the goal video once the review confirmed it:

The unsuccessful challenge also cost the Avalanche a delay of game penalty, which handed Philadelphia another power play. See the call being upheld:

The streak started Thursday in Detroit, where Michkov scored in a 2-1 Flyers loss. He followed that with a power-play goal and an assist Saturday against Ottawa, a 3-1 win that was Philadelphia’s first victory of the season.

That is a rare bright spot for a Flyers team that entered Monday at 1-6-3. Michkov has five goals and six points through 11 games, and three of those goals have come with the man advantage.

Philadelphia hosts the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday.
