What a special moment for Marc-Andre Fleury.

Fleury earned his 500th NHL win against the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre on Thursday. The french-Canadian netminder stopped all 30 shots he faced for his 69th career shutout.

The Montreal crowd serenaded Fleury with “Fleury!” chants as the clock winded down at Bell Center. Even though the Habs were being shutout, the Montreal fans still paid respect to Fleury.

Fleury also received a huge congratulations from his Blackhawks teammates after the game. Even though this is Flower’s first year in Chicago, he’s clearly already well-liked by everyone on the roster.

Canadiens’ players Chris Wideman, David Savard and Mathieu Perreault stuck around to pay their respects to Fleury.

This was the immediate reaction from the Chicago Blackhawks Twitter account:

Fleury is only the third goalie in NHL history to reach the 500-win mark. He joins Martin Brodeur (691) and Patrick Roy (551) as the only NHL goaltenders to reach 500 wins.

Fleury earned 375 of his wins with the Pittsburgh Penguins, 117 with the Vegas Golden Knights and eight with the Blackhawks.

Fleury is one of the most liked and respected goalies in the game, so it’s not surprising to see the Montreal fans serenade the beloved netminder. Congrats to the Flower on an awesome accomplishment.
