Logan Cooley has another hat trick.

The Mammoth center scored three times Thursday night in Montreal, with his third coming at 11:05 of the second period to give Utah a 3-2 lead over the Canadiens. It is his second hat trick in a week, after the one-second-left buzzer-beater in Pittsburgh last Thursday.

Take a look at the one that finished it off:

Cooley got going early. He opened the scoring at 1:42 of the first period with a backhand, set up by Nate Schmidt and Vincent Trocheck.

He made it 2-0 at 9:24 with a snap shot, assisted by Nick Schmaltz and Mikhail Sergachev.

Montreal fought back before the first intermission. Nick Suzuki cut the lead to 2-1 at 15:25, and Arber Xhekaj tied it 2-2 at 17:10.

Cooley broke the tie in the second. Schmaltz and Clayton Keller set him up again, and he beat the goalie with another snap shot to complete the hat trick and put Utah back in front.

Utah took the 3-2 lead into the third period.

The three goals pushed Cooley to 11 on the season in 17 games. Eight of those came before tonight, including all three Mammoth regulation goals in Pittsburgh, so he now has two hat tricks in the span of seven days.
