The Golden Knights just painted a roulette wheel at center ice.

A fresh sheet went down at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday, and the Season X logo came with it. Vegas wrapped its 10th anniversary crest in a roulette wheel, alternating red and black pockets around a gold bowl, with the T-Mobile Arena wordmark curving around the outside.

Vegas announced it with a caption that would fit on a billboard:

Get close to it and the details start showing up. The crest forms the Roman numeral X, a sword slices diagonally through the middle of it, and the numbers 17 and 27 are tucked into the arms on either side of the helmet. Those mark the 2017 inaugural season and the spring the 10th one wraps up.

Take a look at the close-up:

That anniversary mark has been out for a month. Vegas revealed it July 16 in a full-page ad on page 3C of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, ending a billboard campaign that had a plain gold shape and the date 07.16.26 popping up around the valley with nobody claiming it, per the Review-Journal.

Here’s the reveal that started it:

Thursday was the first look at what it becomes on ice, and the roulette ring is the new piece. The billboards and the newspaper ad had the X and the sword, not the wheel.

Opening night lands Sept. 29 at home against the Blackhawks, with a 7:30 p.m. PT puck drop on ESPN. That’s the eighth time in 10 years the Knights have started a season on their own ice.

Before any of that, there are exhibitions to get through. The league packed 65 preseason games into eight days this year, and you can see how the whole preseason schedule shakes out here.

Nine seasons in, Vegas has a Stanley Cup and a building that leans all the way into the city it plays in. A roulette wheel under the opening faceoff is right on brand for year 10.
