The scenery at the two NHL games at Lake Tahoe on February 21st and February 22nd 2021 in Nevada was simply breathtaking. One of the most gorgeous weekends in NHL history featured outdoor games between the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights and then the Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins.

Lake Tahoe is North America’s largest alpine lake and spreads across the California/Nevada border. The actual rink was located on the lakefront 18th fairway of the golf course at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort. The mountain spans 285 acres and provides a glorious backdrop for the action on the ice.

To make the weekend just that more picturesque, the Avalanche, Bruins, Flyers and Golden Knights were all wearing their adidas Reverse Retro jerseys for the games.

Some of the best photos from the breathtaking event include the Avalanche in front of an appropriate backdrop and goaltender Philipp Grubauer rocking sunglasses to protect himself from the glaring sunshine.
