The home jersey features “UTAH” emblazoned diagonally across the chest in a distinct angular font, set against a rock black background. The away jersey inverts the color scheme, with “UTAH” in rock black on a salt-white background.

The team’s color palette draws inspiration from Utah’s natural landscapes. Rock black represents the dark lava rocks found in the state’s deserts and mountains, while salt white pays homage to the iconic salt flats and snowy peaks. Mountain blue rounds out the scheme, evoking Utah’s clear skies and pristine lakes.
While the branding is strong, “Utah Hockey Club” serves only as a placeholder name. The franchise is currently conducting a fan vote to determine the official team name for the 2025-26 season and beyond. The Utah name finalists include the Blizzard, Hockey Club (HC), Yetis, Mountaineers, Outlaws, and Venom.
In the upcoming NHL Draft, the Utah Hockey Club has the 6th overall pick and hopes to secure a foundational player for their future. GM Bill Armstrong, who came over from the Arizona Coyotes, will oversee hockey operations.
Fans can purchase merchandise featuring the new Utah Hockey Club logos and colors on the team’s official website starting today. The franchise plans to have the jerseys available for sale closer to the start of the season.
The Utah Hockey Club begins play in the 2024-25 season at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, sharing the venue with the NBA’s Utah Jazz. With this team’s arrival, Utah sees its first major professional hockey team since the Utah Grizzlies played in the International Hockey League in the 1990s.
As the Utah Hockey Club builds its identity and sets the stage for its debut campaign, hockey fans throughout Utah can expect an exciting new chapter in the local sports scene.
With a sleek visual brand and the promise of NHL action on the horizon, the franchise is poised to make a splash in its debut season and become a source of pride for Utah’s passionate fanbase.
