Milan Lucic does not like it when players touch his goalie.
Lucic appeared to sucker punch Blue Jackets forward Kole Sherwood on Saturday night after the 22-year-old winger jabbed at a loose puck that was covered by Calgary goaltender David Riitch.
It’s unknown as of now if Lucic will face supplementary discipline for the play, but this is not a great look for the former Bruin. There are certainly better ways to deal with a player that touches your goalie that don’t involve punching someone in the face.

This isn’t the first time Lucic has defended a teammate since arriving in Calgary. Lucic punched Nikita Zadorov in the face earlier in the season after the Avalanche defenseman laid a massive hit on Flames forward Austin Czarnik.

Lucic was traded to the Flames in exchange for James Neal this offseason. Neal has scored 11 times in his first 15 games with the Oilers, while Lucic has managed just three assists in 15 games with the Flames.
