It comes six days after his first NHL win, a 4-2 comeback over the Ducks. Two starts, two milestones. The league’s account made the shutout official:

David Pastrnak did most of the damage at the other end. He scored twice and added two assists, giving him 14 points (six goals, eight assists) over his last seven games.

Charlie McAvoy had four assists, and Pavel Zacha picked up two. McAvoy now has six points in five games since returning from his six-game suspension to start the season.

Casey Mittelstadt opened the scoring at 3:49 of the first period, and Elias Lindholm made it 2-0 on the power play late in the frame. Pastrnak and JJ Peterka scored in the second to push the lead to 4-0.

Mark Kastelic added a backhand goal early in the third. Pastrnak finished it with a wrist shot from the top of the slot at 15:00. Here’s his second goal of the night:

Justus Annunen made 25 saves in his first game of the season for Nashville, which has lost four of its last five.

Boston improved to 8-2-1 and has points in seven straight games (6-0-1), a run that includes a 3-0-1 road trip. The Bruins host San Jose on Saturday.
