Macklin Celebrini finished the comeback in Montreal.

The Sharks center scored his second goal of the night on a power play 2:13 into overtime, and San Jose rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Canadiens 4-3 at Bell Centre on Tuesday, per NHL.com’s Sean Farrell.

Celebrini one-timed a pass from Ivar Stenberg past Jakub Dobes from the right circle. Watch the winner:

The power play came courtesy of Dobes, who was sent off for interference in overtime. Here’s the call that put San Jose on the man advantage:

Celebrini opened the scoring at 13:49 of the first when Will Smith’s forecheck forced a bad Jake Evans pass. Celebrini grabbed the loose puck in the slot, skated in alone and flipped it over Dobes’ arm.

Montreal answered. Nick Suzuki tied it before the period ended, then Juraj Slafkovsky put the Canadiens ahead early in the second.

Slafkovsky flipped the puck past Darnell Nurse, picked it back up and tucked it around Alex Nedeljkovic. NHL.com is already asking if it is the goal of the season. Check it out:

Caufield made it 3-1 at 14:03 of the second with a snap shot off a Suzuki feed from behind the net.

Then the Sharks went to work. Michael Misa cut it to 3-2 at 5:36 of the third after getting behind Noah Dobson and burying a feed from Kiefer Sherwood. Tyler Toffoli tied it at 11:09 with a power-play one-timer off a Celebrini pass.

Nedeljkovic made 31 saves for San Jose, which snapped a two-game skid and improved to 5-4-1. Dobes stopped 26 shots for the Canadiens (4-3-2), who had won three of their last four.

The Sharks’ win also comes one night after Gavin McKenna and the Maple Leafs beat the Sharks. Stenberg and his team dropped that game 3-1, so getting the assist on the winner here was a nice way for the rookie to bounce back.
