- The goalie left Monday’s win in Boston after a crease collision and sat out Tuesday in Detroit

Linus Ullmark is good to go.
The Senators goalie will start Thursday night’s home opener against the Philadelphia Flyers at Canadian Tire Centre, Travis Green told reporters after the morning skate. Ullmark was a full participant and the first goalie off the ice.
Check out the video of Ullmark back at work Thursday morning:
That’s a big relief in Ottawa. Ullmark didn’t come out for the third period of Monday’s 4-1 win in Boston after JJ Peterka slid hard into him with 4:24 left in the second. Green said after that game his goalie “tweaked something” and called pulling him a precaution.
Here’s the collision that knocked Ullmark out:
He didn’t even dress as the backup Tuesday in Detroit. Samuel Ersson started and made 31 saves on 35 shots in a 5-3 loss to the Red Wings, a night that ended with a brawl after Ridly Greig’s hit on Alex DeBrincat.
Ottawa recalled Jonas Johansson from Belleville to back up Ersson that night. The club sent him back down Thursday, another sign Ullmark is fine.
Through two starts, the 33-year-old is 2-0-0 with a 1.20 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage. He beat the Maple Leafs 3-2 in the opener before the win over the Bruins.
It’s not a bad matchup for a comeback either. Philadelphia is still looking for its first win at 0-2-2 and has scored just five goals in four games. Rick Tocchet already said his team is “way too comfortable”, and the Flyers went out and signed Michael Bunting to try to spark something.
Not everyone is back, though. Alex Adams reported that Artem Zub and Andre Burakovsky are both out again tonight:
Neither has played yet this season, but Green said the pair is moving closer. Jake Sanderson also wasn’t on the ice Thursday after picking up a lower-body injury against Toronto.
Puck drop between the Senators and Flyers is set for 7 p.m. ET.
