The Dylan Larkin trade standoff now has a date attached to it.

Insider David Pagnotta said on Wednesday’s Daily Faceoff LIVE that he was given U.S. Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, as the point where either Larkin or the Red Wings will budge.

Pagnotta was asked which side blinks first. He said he would be “a little bit surprised” if the standoff goes all the way to Thanksgiving, but that is where he was told one side starts to give.

Watch Pagnotta’s full segment on the show:

Pagnotta said he expected some kind of adjustment around this point in November. Elliotte Friedman talked about the same thing over the weekend, as we noted in our Friedman post. Nothing has changed.

“Sounds like Dylan Larkin and his camp have dug their heels in even more,” Pagnotta said.

Larkin’s list is still 10 teams. Interim GM Shawn Horcoff asked his agents to add more, and Pat Brisson told him no, per The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun, as we covered here.

Here’s our post on the Red Wings’ request:

Pagnotta said Montreal, Buffalo and Boston are among the teams not on the list that keep asking whether Larkin can change his mind yet. Right now, he said, they are just waiting.

He also said teams are split on where Detroit’s focus is. Some believe talks are still about Larkin, while others think the conversations have shifted toward Simon Edvinsson.

Larkin has been suspended without pay since Oct. 29, so every day without a deal costs him money. Thanksgiving is 20 days out.
