John Farinacci’s NHL career is one game long, and he is a perfect 1-for-1.
The Admirals signed the 25-year-old center to a one-year AHL contract on Tuesday, moving him out of Boston’s system and into Nashville’s. Here’s the announcement out of Milwaukee:
Boston called him up on April 14, 2025, and he played the next night in the Bruins’ final game of the regular season.
That put the Red Bank, New Jersey native on the ice against his hometown Devils.

Farinacci finished with 10:58 of ice time, three hits and six wins on eight faceoffs. Boston lost 5-4 in overtime, and he was back with Providence for the Calder Cup playoffs inside a week.
A second call never came, and Boston has bigger questions up the middle heading into next season.
His production held steady in Providence and then slipped. He put up 38 points in 71 games in 2023-24 and another 38 in 58 games the year after, then dropped to nine goals and 19 points in 68 games last season, the thinnest pro year of his career.
Arizona drafted him 76th overall in 2019 out of Dexter Southfield, and he never signed there. He turned the Coyotes down in April 2023, came out of Harvard as one of the more coveted college free agents on the market with 61 points in 79 games, and picked Boston that August.
Milwaukee hands him a center competition with Jake Lucchini and Oasiz Wiesblatt on a roster already stocked with wingers like Reid Schaefer and Aiden Fink.
Providence just took the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as the AHL’s best regular-season team, so he arrives from a winner.
Until somebody hands him a second NHL start, that line stays at one game, one shot and one goal.
