Seth Jarvis just flipped the Stanley Cup Final on its head.

With Tomas Hertl in the box for tripping Jordan Staal, Shayne Gostisbehere found Jarvis at the left circle and he hammered a one-timer short side past Carter Hart 3:56 into overtime Thursday night. The power-play blast finished off a 4-3 comeback win in Game 2 and evened the series at a game apiece.

Raleigh lost its mind:

It looked grim for two periods. Brett Howden scored twice to stake Vegas to a 2-0 lead, and his 13th goal of the playoffs tied Jonathan Marchessault’s franchise record for a single postseason.

Then the third period flipped everything. Logan Stankoven picked Rasmus Andersson’s pocket behind the net and banked a wraparound in off Jeremy Lauzon to get Carolina on the board.

Mark Jankowski tied it less than three minutes later with a high glove-side wrister, and Staal tipped home a Gostisbehere point shot on the power play. Three goals in 5:05, and suddenly the Canes led 3-2.

Vegas still had one answer left. Mark Stone got credit for the tying goal with 1:21 to go in regulation, the puck banking in off Jaccob Slavin in front. Take a look at the video of the equalizer:

The Golden Knights also lost Brayden McNabb along the way. He took an 87 mph slap shot to the face in the first period and went to the hospital for evaluation.

Frederik Andersen stopped 23 of 26 and moved Carolina to 6-0 in overtime this postseason. Rod Brind’Amour said he wasn’t concerned about his goalie after the Game 1 loss. Andersen made him look smart.

Game 3 goes Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, 8 p.m. ET.
