I’m here to listen and to educate myself – but most importantly, to act. While I have so much more to learn and do, I was inspired by @jahmal_cole words, ‘What’s something simple I can do that will have a positive impact on my block?’ (2/4)

You may have seen this video already, but I think it’s important to share. It helped me begin to better understand systemic racism and open my eyes to the problems many may not be aware of. (4/4)

What would you do to prevent your murder? To prevent the murder of your child, brother, sister, friend, community? We tried to peacefully kneel or raise a fist but that made us un-American, a distraction, a son of a bitch. Today I am a thug, but tomorrow will I be a hashtag?

This…I don’t know this pain. I can’t even imagine this pain. I’ve always had the benefit of the doubt But I can’t say I haven’t seen this before. We all have. The footage, the headlines, the media arguments that follow. What we need to see is change. We need to see it stop https://t.co/HS0iCSslQw

It’s been tough for me to find the words to say, so I haven’t. I’ve been listening. Educating myself. Letting others educate me before I speak. I thought I understood, but I didn’t. As a privileged white male, it’s easy for me to live in this country.
