Carter Hart left the Golden Knights’ morning skate Tuesday with an undisclosed injury.

Adin Hill will start in his place when Vegas hosts the Ottawa Senators at 10 p.m. ET. Hart fell on the ice before limping off, and the team said he was being evaluated. There is no word yet on how long he could be out.

Head coach Ryan Craig was asked about the situation in net and kept it short.

“He’s in good hands,” Craig said. “We’ve got a plan here moving forward either way. We’ll be ready for tonight.”

Take a look at the first word out of the skate:

Hart is 4-3-1 with a 2.76 goals-against average and an .889 save percentage in eight games. Hill is 4-1 with a 2.95 GAA and an .882 save percentage, so the two have split the work pretty evenly.

Both goalies have dealt with injuries in recent seasons. Hart missed nearly three months last year with a left leg injury, then came back to carry Vegas through the first three rounds of the playoffs. The Stanley Cup Final against Carolina was a different story, and the Hurricanes won it in six games.

The Golden Knights are already working through some lineup shuffling. Mitch Marner is expected back Tuesday after missing two games for the birth of his child, which we covered when he stepped away from the team.

Vegas is coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to Columbus on Saturday, so Hill gets the net in a spot where the Golden Knights could use a clean win.
