Tom Wilson is going to be a dad again.
The Capitals forward and his wife, Taylor, announced Sunday that they’re expecting their second child, and they pulled it off with a Halloween costume.
Taylor shared the news on Instagram with a photo from the team’s Halloween party on Saturday night:
She explained the post in her caption: “Baby WILSONNNNN! #2 coming March 2027 ❤️🏐 #castaway.”
Tom went as Chuck Noland, the Tom Hanks character from Cast Away, complete with the long hair, the scraggly beard and a FedEx box. Taylor went as Wilson, the volleyball, with the face painted right on her baby bump.
It’s a pretty perfect fit. Taylor is a former professional volleyball player, and the couple’s last name already did half the work.
The baby will be a younger sibling for Teddy, the couple’s first child, who was born in May 2024. They also have a black lab mix named Halle at home.
Wilson was already making headlines a day earlier, when the mere threat of a Wilson hit sent Jack Hughes diving to the ice against the Devils. This news is a lot more wholesome.
The Wilsons are due in March 2027.
