Rod Brind’Amour is 55 years old and in better shape than most of the players he coaches.

He proved it again Sunday night.

During the locker room celebration after Carolina closed out the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6, Brind’Amour pulled off his shirt and showed off the build that earned him the nickname “Rod the Bod” years ago.

The Hurricanes posted the photo themselves:

Carolina beat Vegas 3-0 to win the franchise’s second Stanley Cup, the first since 2006.

Brind’Amour lifted that 2006 Cup as the Hurricanes’ captain. Two decades later he won another one from behind the bench, shirt optional.

Fans could not get over it.

One called it the most iconic coaching photo in sports:

Others figured nobody could ever dog it for a coach who looks like that:

He built a 21-year playing career on outworking everyone in the room. At 55, with the Cup in his hands and his shirt on the floor, the message to his team hasn’t changed.
