2025-26. He put up 38 goals and 62 assists for 100 points in 78 games with Colorado, finished seventh in NHL scoring and was second in the league at plus-47. It was the first 100-point season of his career.
Carolina needed a bigger scorer and Colorado had one to move. On January 24, 2025 the Hurricanes sent Necas, Jack Drury, a 2025 second-round pick and a 2026 fourth to the Avalanche for Mikko Rantanen. Chicago was the third team, shipping Taylor Hall to Carolina for Nils Juntorp and a third-round pick.
Eight years and $92 million, an $11.5 million cap hit that runs through the 2033-34 season. He signed it on October 30, 2025, and $60 million of the money comes as signing bonuses.
No NHL trophies yet. He won the 2026 Zlata hokejka as the best Czech player of the season, a World Championship gold with Czechia in 2024 and the 2019 Calder Cup with the Charlotte Checkers.
Three. Jaromir Jagr did it five times, David Pastrnak four, and Necas joined them in 2025-26.
Nove Mesto na Morave in the Vysocina region of Czechia. He was born there on January 15, 1999, and came up through Zdar nad Sazavou and Kometa Brno.
