The Maple Leafs spent the opening day of free agency rebuilding their bottom six. Toronto signed forwards Colton Sissons, Teddy Blueger and Brandon Duhaime to multi-year deals on Wednesday.

Sissons landed the richest of the three. TSN’s Darren Dreger had the terms:

The two-year deal pays $4.25 million per season, a heavy number for a fourth-line role. Sissons turns 32 this fall and put up 11 points in 66 games with Vegas last season.

He added eight points in the playoffs as the Golden Knights reached the Cup Final. The right-shot center kills penalties and wins faceoffs, and Toronto paid up for that certainty.

The other two came cheaper. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman had Blueger at two years and $2.5 million:

Duhaime signed for three years at a $2.6 million cap hit, per Friedman. Blueger gives Toronto another bottom-six pivot after three seasons in Vancouver, where injuries held him to 35 games and 17 points in 2025-26.

Duhaime brings the sandpaper. The winger has averaged 192 hits per 82 games across his five-year career and set a personal best with nine goals and 21 points in Washington in 2024-25.

Wednesday’s trio capped a busy stretch for Toronto. The Leafs already brought in Sergei Bobrovsky and Jack Roslovic earlier in the day after adding Darren Raddysh last month.

All that spending leaves Toronto with roughly $581,000 in space, per PuckPedia. The Leafs remain open to moving Morgan Rielly, and they could free up another $3.75 million if Max Domi can’t play this season because of injury.
