Vegas is heading back to the Western Conference Final.
The Golden Knights ran the Ducks out of Honda Center on Thursday with a 5-1 Game 6 win, closing out the second round 4-2 and booking a date with the Colorado Avalanche in the West Final.
Mitch Marner picked up where he left off. The Vegas winger opened the scoring 62 seconds in with a between-the-legs breakaway goal off a William Karlsson stretch pass.
Brett Howden made it 2-0 short-handed at 8:30 off another Marner setup. Shea Theodore then added a power-play snap shot five seconds into Vegas’ first man-advantage to make it 3-0 after one.
Granlund got one back on the Anaheim power play in the second, but Pavel Dorofeyev shut the door in the third.
He buried his first off an Ivan Barbashev steal of a John Carlson clearing attempt, then potted a short-side finish from just above the goal line at 13:30. Two nights after his Game 5 OT winner, the Russian leads the NHL with nine playoff goals.
Carter Hart stopped 31 of 32 for his eighth playoff win. Marner finished with a goal and an assist and leads the postseason with 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists). Theodore added a helper alongside his goal.
