The Jets felt the need for speed on Sunday.

Winnipeg players walked into Princess Auto Stadium for the 2026 Heritage Classic in bomber jackets and aviator sunglasses, channeling their best Top Gun look with white T-shirts and blue jeans. The Jets posted the arrival on their own account:

The jackets had patches on the front and both arms. The front showed pilot wings with a nameplate, plus a Jets logo on the right side next to the Heritage Classic logo. Check out the video and you can spot the Jets patch on the chest as the players walk through the crowd.

Dressing up for arrival is a long tradition at NHL outdoor games, and Winnipeg did not skip it. The Canadiens went with a theme of their own, showing up dressed as brewery workers.

Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET. It is the Jets’ first outdoor game since trading Connor Hellebuyck to New Jersey, which we covered in our Heritage Classic preview.

In jackets like that, the Jets can be our wingmen anytime.
