Frank Seravalli has a new stop on the Canadian hockey media circuit.
The veteran NHL insider announced Friday that he’s joining Sportsnet as a contributor, taking on a mix of writing, radio and television duties for the network.
He broke the news himself on social media, explaining what drew him to the gig.
“I’m thrilled to join Sportsnet as a contributor,” Seravalli said. “I’ll be doing a little bit of everything, writing, radio and tv, and can’t wait to get started.”

That same post confirmed where his podcast is headed. Frankly Hockey, the show he co-hosts with John Buccigross, is moving to Sportsnet’s platforms too.
The graphic attached to the announcement laid out the schedule. The show goes live Monday through Friday at 2 p.m. ET, simulcast on Sportsnet television and Sportsnet 590 The Fan radio in Toronto, starting this Monday.
Seravalli isn’t new to the Canadian hockey scene. He broke in covering the Flyers for the Philadelphia Daily News before TSN hired him as an NHL insider in 2015. He spent six years there before jumping to Daily Faceoff in 2021.
His run at Daily Faceoff ended last year. Seravalli announced his departure in May 2025, saying the decision was his own.
He was already looking ahead to his next chapter in that same post. “Like many in hockey, I’m a free agent on July 1 and can’t wait to dig in on my next ventures,” he wrote. “Stay tuned.”

Since then, he’s worked as a hockey insider for both Victory+ and Prime Video. Sportsnet now becomes his third stop since going independent, joining a roster that includes Elliotte Friedman, who has spent this week tracking Dylan Larkin’s trade market for the network.
