Carey Price is getting his night in Montreal.

Montreal announced Tuesday that the club will honour its all-time winningest goalie in an on-ice ceremony at the Bell Centre on Nov. 10, before the Canadiens host the Minnesota Wild.

The date is no accident. Price is set for induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Nov. 9, so the Habs get him back home barely a day later.

He becomes the 62nd name on the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, the display near the rafters listing every Canadiens player, builder and staffer enshrined in the Hall. Shea Weber was the last one added, in 2024.

Price shares the Hall’s 2026 class with Patrice Bergeron, Pekka Rinne, Keith Tkachuk, Cindy Curley and builder Brian Burke.

Montreal’s record book had his section written years ago. Price’s 361 regular-season wins are the most by any goalie in franchise history, 47 clear of the late Jacques Plante, whom he passed on March 12, 2019.

His 712 games played and 700 starts also top Plante, while his 19,304 saves and 21,059 shots faced sit ahead of Patrick Roy. Only George Hainsworth (75) and Plante (58) have more shutouts in a Canadiens sweater than Price’s 49.

2014-15 was the peak of it. Price went 44-16-6 with a 1.96 goals-against average, a .933 save percentage and nine shutouts, then walked off with the Hart, the Vezina and the Ted Lindsay, plus a share of the Jennings with Corey Crawford.

All 15 of his NHL seasons came in Montreal, and his last game was April 29, 2022. Catch the team’s own run through his best moments in the crease:

Habs fans never got a proper farewell game out of him. Nov. 10 is the closest thing to it, with a Hall of Fame plaque already carrying his name.
