Corey Perry, one of the oldest active NHL players, continues to defy Father Time.

The 40-year-old forward made NHL history Wednesday night, powering the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-1 victory over the Dallas Stars and a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Perry’s second-period power-play goal tied the NHL record for most goals in a single postseason by a player aged 39 or older.

The veteran showed his trademark net-front presence, converting a perfect feed from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins past Jake Oettinger.

“I’m just trying to contribute any way I can,” Perry said. “When you get chances around the net at this time of year, you’ve got to bury them.”

His timely goal broke a 1-1 tie after Dallas’s Jason Robertson had earlier cancelled out Leon Draisaitl’s power-play opener.

Perry’s net-front presence became crucial after Zach Hyman left the game in the first period following a Mason Marchment hit.

“He just knows where to be,” Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch praised. “His hockey IQ is off the charts, and he’s still got that scoring touch when we need it most.”

Kasperi Kapanen and Adam Henrique sealed the win with empty-net goals, pushing Edmonton one victory away from a Stanley Cup Final rematch with Florida.

Stuart Skinner remained outstanding in net, stopping all but one Dallas shot. He’s now saved 86 of 88 attempts over the past three games.

The series returns to Dallas for Game 5, where the Oilers can advance to their second straight Cup Final with a victory.
