Alex Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang stood shoulder to shoulder at Capital One Arena on Sunday before what could be the final chapter of hockey’s greatest rivalry.
The four future Hall of Famers posed together during pregame warmups ahead of the 100th career meeting between Ovechkin and Crosby. Malkin and Letang then stepped aside so the two icons could get a solo shot.

Ovechkin is 40 years old with 929 career goals. He still hasn’t committed to a 22nd NHL season and said earlier this month he’ll decide this summer.
The moment hit different knowing this could be the last time these four share the same ice. Twenty-one years of playoff wars, highlight-reel goals, and one of the best rivalries in sports history, all captured in one frame.
