You will soon be able to pull off the Michigan Move in a video game. The patented lacrosse goal will be featured in EA Sports NHL 21, marking the first installment of the franchise in which players have the ability to pull off the move.

The move was confirmed to be part of NHL 21 in the official reveal trailer that dropped Monday morning. The reveal also confirmed the cover athlete for the game. Washington Capitals’ captain Alexander Ovechkin will be gracing the cover of the EA Sports video game for the second time in his career.

Ovechkin was previously on the cover of NHL 07, making him only the second two-time EA Sports NHL cover athlete. Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was on the cover of both NHL 11 and NHL 16.

We don’t have all the details on the game yet, but it certainly looks like EA is listening to the fans when it comes to requested moves/dekes. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov’s famous “no move” deke will also be coming to NHL 21.

NHL 21 is set to release in October.
