The Edmonton Oilers completely unraveled on Monday night. Not only did they lose 6-1, but they also lost control of their tempers with the Florida Panthers getting under their skin throughout the game.

One of the players most irritated by the Panthers was Oilers defenseman Jake Walman. Walman was fined not once but twice on Tuesday for his actions in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Walman’s first $5,000 fine is for roughing against Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk.

While John Klingberg had Tkachuk wrapped up in front of the net, Walman preceded to wail on him after the whistle.

Walman was penalized four minutes for roughing and two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct on the play.

The defenseman’s other fine was for actions against the Panthers’ bench earlier in the game.

Florida forward AJ Greer took Walman’s glove off in the middle of a tussle and threw it into the Panthers’ bench. Walman didn’t like that too much, resulting in him squirting a water bottle toward the Florida bench.

TNT analyst Brian Boucher was between the benches and didn’t take too kindly to it either.

Walman is now $10,000 lighter in the wallet and his Oilers face an uphill battle once again in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Panthers will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on home ice in Game 4 on Thursday night in Sunrise.
