P.K. Subban is a gem.

The Nashville Predators blueliner has always been known as a fan favorite. Subban loves to have fun and never shies away from showcasing his personality.

Sometimes, Subban gets criticized for who he is. But most hockey fans appreciate and respect what he brings to the game of hockey.

Subban plays an exciting and hard-hitting style game and doesn’t care if people like it or not.

Fans got another taste of his personality Wednesday evening in Colorado. The hot mic picked up audio of him chirping Avalanche blueliner Nikita Zadorov.

The sequence occurred after a heated battle in the corner. Subban had no problem getting in the face of the 6’5″ Zadorov.

“I’m a p**sy? You’re right, I wouldn’t fight you… well you’re a terrible hockey player. It’s painful for me to watch. F**k, you’re horrible!”

Let’s not forget Subban giving it to Sidney Crosby during the 2017 Stanley Cup Final.

The mic picking up Subban’s trash talk is just another reason why we need to have NHL players mic’d up more often.

This quote P.K. gave in an interview with ESPN sums him up who he is perfectly:

“I’m not that self-absorbed where I think everybody on the planet is going to love me or love everything about me. They’re all not going to love the way I play the game or think I’m the best-looking guy in the world. It’s just not going to happen. You’re going to have people disagree. All you do is continue to work on yourself every day as a player and as a person, and that’s it.”

Never change, P.K.
