The Florida Panthers have cemented their place in hockey history as the 2023-24 Stanley Cup champions.
The names of the Panthers’ players, coaches, and staff have been engraved on the most coveted trophy in sports — the Stanley Cup.
A photo shared by Philip Pritchard showed the names of the 53 Panthers players, coaches, and staff on the iconic trophy.

The list starts with owner Vincent Viola and his family, then general manager Bill Zito, and head coach Paul Maurice. Captain Aleksander Barkov leads the players, whose names follow alphabetically.
Of the 24 players immortalized on the Cup, 22 are first-time champions. The exceptions are Vladimir Tarasenko, who previously won with the St. Louis Blues in 2019, and Carter Verhaeghe, a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 2020 championship team.
The Panthers asked the NHL to include defenseman Josh Mahura and forward Jonah Gadjovich, even though they didn’t meet the standard requirements due to injuries. The NHL agreed, recognizing their contributions to the team’s success.
Roberto Luongo, a Hall of Fame goalie and now a special advisor to the general manager, finally has his name on the Cup after playing 572 games with the Panthers.

Patric Hornqvist, another former player now in an executive role, adds his name for the third time after winning with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016 and 2017.
The Panthers’ victory came after a seven-game series against the Edmonton Oilers in June. The team narrowly avoided an epic collapse after leading 3-0 in the series. This is the first championship in Florida’s franchise history, making their names on the Cup even more special.
With the engraving done, the Stanley Cup will go on its summer tour, spending a day with each member of the Panthers organization.
Goalie Anthony Stolarz, now with the Toronto Maple Leafs, will be the first to enjoy his day with the trophy.
Following this Stanley Cup engraving, the Florida Panthers are now a permanent part of hockey history.
