  • Read below for details on Drake’s betting mishap and Toronto’s playoff collapse

Drake’s latest sports betting misfortune has the rapper pointing fingers at fellow Canadian Justin Bieber after a costly Game 7 wager went sideways in Toronto’s 6-1 collapse against Florida.

The Toronto native posted his $1 million betting slip before puck drop, eyeing a potential $2.13 million payout if the Leafs could finally shake their Game 7 demons. They couldn’t.

After watching his hometown team get dismantled by the Panthers, Drake took to Instagram with a succinct two-word response: “Bieber curse…”

The jab at Bieber, who attended the game with wife Hailey, adds another chapter to Drake’s well-documented struggles as a sports bettor. The self-proclaimed “flawed sports better” has developed an infamous reputation for jinxing teams he publicly supports.

Bieber took the loss – and Drake’s blame – in stride. He shared a more optimistic view on Instagram: “I don’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t been obsessed with the leafsssss. This year we made it farther than we have in so long and im happy about that.”

The defeat extends Toronto’s Game 7 nightmare to eight straight losses in winner-take-all scenarios. This matches the Colorado Avalanche for the second-worst such streak in NHL history.

Leafs captain Auston Matthews didn’t mince words post-game: “We just had too many passengers throughout the rest of the game. We just weren’t on the same page.”

Florida now advances to face Carolina in the Eastern Conference Finals, while Drake’s search for that elusive “insane parlay” continues.
