This is too wholesome.

Alex Ovechkin celebrated his 808th career NHL goal with his son on Tuesday evening. Ovechkin scored the tally against the Buffalo Sabres at Capital One Arena. Ovi knew exactly where his son Sergei was sitting for the game.

During the second period, Ovechkin took a pass in the slot and fired a one-timer past Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. After scoring, Ovechkin skated to the glass and gave a fist bump to Sergei, who was sitting with the rest of Ovi’s family.

Ovechkin enthusiastically points at his son with a big smile on his face. It’s clear Ovechkin was happy he got to celebrate this goal with his son.
